Amazon 5,000 Work-From-Home Jobs in Next Year

Amazon 5,000 Work-From-Home Jobs in Next Year You’re probably on Amazon at least a few times a day stocking up on the essentials, scoring deals on tech and fashion, and even streaming movies, TV shows, and musicâ€"so why not turn your online obsession into a job? The company just announced that it plans to create more than 5,000 new part-time jobs over the next year. The best part? These are work-from-home roles. Yes, you’ll be able to work for Amazon in your pajamas. The jobs are in the company’s virtual customer service program, which allows employees to work from home as a customer service agent. If employees work 20 hours a week, they’ll receive benefits (life and disability insurance, dental and vision insurance paid fully, and funding towards medical insurance) and can take advantage of Amazon Career Choice, a program that will pre-pay 95 percent of tuition for courses in in-demand fields. “There are lots of people who want or need a flexible jobâ€"whether they’re a military spouse, a college student, or a parentâ€"and we’re happy to empower these talented people no matter where they happen to live,” Tom Weiland, Amazon vice president for worldwide customer service stated in a press release. Amazon also plans to create more than 25,000 part-time roles in its fulfillment centers across the U.S., plus 100,000 full-time and full-benefit jobs over the next 18 months. These full-time positions will be located all over the country and run the gamut from entry-level positions to engineer and software developer roles. This story originally appeared on Real Simple.
