New The JibberJobber Mobile App for Android

New The JibberJobber Mobile App for Android Yesterday I posted Announcement #1.  This is Announcement #2. Today we released the Android app for JibberJobber.  If you are a JibberJobber user, please download this free app and let us know what you think.  The iOS app should be released soon, although Apple has a longer release process so I really dont know when that will be available. Click here to see it. This app is pretty cool.  Weve worked on the design, development, and testing for months.  Its also what I call version 1. The most important thing we need at this point is YOUR FEEDBACK. If there is anything that doesnt work right, or any part of the design that is not intuitive, or if there are features that you need/want, please let us know. Use the Contact page to let us know what we can do to improve (and, what you like).  Your feedback is critical so that we can make Phase II even better. Heres a direct link to the app in the Google Play store. Hopefully the app will be found in the store soon, but for now just use that link. Wed appreciate any great rankings. If you have a problem with anything, please contact us immediately so we can get it fixed thats a lot more effective than leaving a rant or low rank on the app store. Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you! New The JibberJobber Mobile App for Android Yesterday I posted Announcement #1.  This is Announcement #2. Custom Resume Writing About Com Tips

Custom Resume Writing About Com TipsA question many hiring managers have is whether or not they should include a resume in their job search process about com. It's a decision that you'll have to make as a hiring manager. What your best option will be depends on what the actual position you are looking for is. For example, if the position is in sales or marketing, you may want to send your resume to a larger company that handles resumes and may be a good place to start. However, if the position is in customer service or administration, then you may want to consider sending your resume through a company that specializes in resume writing about com. The company can write your resume for you and provide the most important details of your past positions and accomplishments. This type of company may charge a small fee for this service, but it is worth it.However, if the company you choose does not specialize in resume writing about com, then you may want to consider contacting a career cent er or an organization that works with training the professional who will be interviewing you. In many cases, these individuals have done this job for years and may be able to put together a comprehensive resume for you.One of the most common mistakes made by people when they are applying for a position is by adding their last name in the first person, either when typing or while reading their name off of the screen. Many companies are now using the acronym CAPS. You need to write your entire resume by typing your name in CAPS instead of using the first person.Another mistake that many people make is having personal information in the first line of their resume. If you put your full name, or any other identifying information, in the first two lines of your resume, then it is very difficult to read and will get lost in the larger body of text. This information can also be taken out of context, which is why it is best to avoid putting anything in the first lines of your resume.Be sure to always use bolding and italics for your most important details. Also, if you have signed a non-disclosure agreement with a client, make sure to make sure your signatures are all legible and clear. Remember that the resume will be given to several companies so you need to make sure everything is legible.Make sure that the resume you are sending is formatted correctly. It is always best to use Microsoft Word to format your resume and your letterhead. As I mentioned earlier, you can use a resume writing company to help you write your own custom resume. They will have programs to help you go through your existing career history and use it to create a resume that will showcase your accomplishments and present your best points. Although this may cost you money, it is well worth it because the services will be much more detailed than anything you could do on your own.

The Importance of Daily Meditation - Classy Career Girl

The Importance of Daily Meditation As research continues to prove, taking time, even if it’s just one minute, meditation has so many wonderful benefits for the mind, body, and soul. Though most people tend to think meditation requires sitting still and have a “blank” mind, that is not necessarily the case. There are so many types of meditations from sitting meditation to walking meditation. Mindfully cooking a meal can even be meditative for those who love cooking! At the same time, regardless of the meditation style, in order for meditation to be effective, we must be willing to face our thoughts when they come up, sometimes over and over again, without running away to avoid the unavoidable. By practicing meditation, our attention turns from thoughts that drain our energy to thoughts and situations that uplift us. The Importance of Daily Meditation In My Life Throughout the past decade, meditation has done wonders in maintaining peace and balance in my personal and professional life. The more consistent I am at incorporating meditation into my daily routine, the better I am at tapping into my intuition when making tough choices. So, why should you meditate every day? 1. Understanding Ourselves Better Being aware of our thoughts helps us to see and know our thoughts as thoughts rather than getting caught up in them as a reality. Whether you prefer to sit, lie down, or walk, just take the first step even if it is just for a minute in the morning. 2. Emotional Cleansing Taking some time to meditate at any point of the day can allow for emotional cleansing because you’ve taken a moment to stop, observe, listened, and understand what is going on. Otherwise, days, months and even years could slip past unnoticed. When we practice our breathing exercises, such as through yoga, tai chi, and meditation, we allow ourselves to become open to life. [RELATED: 7 Days to a More Balanced Life] So, you know you should meditate, now how do you find the time to meditate? With a busy schedule and a busier mind, taking the time to meditate may be tricky. However, five minutes of practice can be as effective as an hour. The sincerity of the effort matters far more than elapsed time since meditation is about stepping out of minutes and hours and into moments. Try this routine: 1. Find a comfortable seated position and focus on your breath. Perhaps you want to visualize a mountain or a lake. Perhaps a walking meditation is better for you today. 2. If you choose to sit, notice your posture. I like to sit with my spine in a neutral, but not stiff, position. Think of sitting with dignity to embody that inner feeling of worthiness. Sometimes we don’t feel that way, but when we sit with strong intentionality, our body makes a statement of deep conviction and commitment in the way we carry ourselves. Even if you are feeling down, sitting can affirm the strength and value of this life lived now. 3. Whether you are sitting or walking, you may even want to play some guided meditation audio or music in the background. Be prepared to focus on using breathing as a way to release the past and draw the future towards you. Happy meditating and may you thrive in all the silver linings of the day! “Everything begins in the mind. If you want to see clearly, you need clear vision.”  Swarmi Satchidananda

Reviews of resume writing services abound for just about any possible reason. If you have ever written a resume yourself, then you will know that these reviews can be pretty damaging. An obvious and common issue with these reviews is that they are written by unqualified individuals. These people may not even be trying to do resume writing. They may simply be spammers trying to spam the internet with the information you seek. How to Utilize Social Media for Job-Seeking - CareerEnlightenment.com

How to Utilize Social Media for Job-Seeking According to Reed.co.uk, more than 53% of job seekers are now using social media to find new vacancies â€" with LinkedIn being the most popular platform thanks to their separate job search mobile app. However, with the increasing innovation of every social platform (we’re looking at you Twitter, with your increased word-count) it’s no wonder that recruitment industries are utilizing their job postings on various platforms for job seekers to stumble across. Each social networking site you use has its own best practices, pros, and cons. This all boils down to what you post, how you post and who you interact with or follow in your daily life. These characteristics are what employers will take at face-value when making a decision to invite you to an interview, let alone hire you for a position at their company.By developing your social media skills for your professional profile and active job-seeking, you can increase your chances of achieving a role that’s right for you:1. Follow industry experts, bloggers, and influencersBy following key experts in your chosen field of industry you are actively keeping up to date with the latest trends, innovations, and changes that might affect how you do your job and what skills you can bring to the table with said changes. It’s common practice for hiring managers to view your profile for background purposes â€" it’s also common for them to check who you follow in order to get an idea of your personality and interests. If they stumble upon the fact you follow key leaders and competitors in your chosen industry then this can give the impression that you’re well rounded and in the know.2. Talk about the industryIt’s one thing following industry experts â€" why not strike up a conversation or promote their content? This shows your potential employer your initiative and keenness to get involved even further in your chosen industry. If you’re on a busy schedule and writing isn’t really your thing replying to a twee t about an article or retweeting content you find relevant is enough to show your interaction with the industry. You never really know what an interaction could lead to â€" A key influencer in the field may be posting about a project you have the right skills to be involved in. Having an initial connection can put you ahead one step in the game.3. Connect with top recruitment agencies in your areaIt’s a no-brainer â€" by keeping on your local recruitment agencies radar you’re able to see their new job listings and connect with the right recruitment agents. Popular hashtags such as #town/cityjobs are often used by recruiters to seek candidates in a specific area. This will lead you to discovering a multitude of agencies you can contact directly.4. Create and/or develop a professional presence on your social accountsWe recommend a nice, clear photo to begin with â€" you don’t need a professional photographer to take this. Simply stand in front of a fairly clear background with go od lighting and set a timer (or get a friend to take the photo for you).Keep your bios and taglines professional. Mention your current job title or job-interest (e.g ‘Actively seeking a new role in Social Media) as this can entice a recruiter to message your openness to a new role. Edit your privacy settingsIf you don’t want to untag yourself from drunken nights in Bali on Facebook then editing your privacy settings can save you from being placed in the no pile. There are plenty of guides online that can help you hide sections of your profile from potential recruiters.Although we recommend activity to boost your profile across your social channels, Twitter and Instagram have an option of completely hiding your profile altogether unle ss you approve a follow request. This can completely eliminate any unnecessary worry of a recruiter stumbling across anything they shouldn’t do.6. Showcase your workIf you’re seeking work in a creative industry then displaying your work visually online via social media is key. We highly recommend quality over quantity here â€" finished pieces of work rather than lots of ‘work in progress’ shots will look clean from a visual perspective. You can save you work-in-progress shots for the interview to inspire conversation. Platforms like Instagram (which isn’t the most common platform to recruit form) are brilliant for showcasing your portfolio in a digestible form which can be synced and shared with your Twitter and Facebook profiles simultaneously!7. Google yourselfHave you tried Googling yourself to see what actually comes up? Any images you find that might be deemed inappropriate can be removed by Google Support (or the website that is hosting the image through a contact fo rm).Any other content that might be deemed irrelevant (as well as inappropriate) should be taken down â€" this can be old blog posts, photos or social updates. An easy way to do this is simply updating your current profiles to reflect a professional persona, and delete any archived content.8. Make use of popular job-related apps:A. LinkedIn Job SearchThis is a standalone app synced with your existing LinkedIn account that suggests jobs based on your searches and current skills. It also shows common connections that also work at the job listings’ locationB. IndeedThis is without a doubt the most popular job-seeking app available (and it’s free!). This allows you to search for millions of jobs in all countries in a matter of seconds. It also has a special filter for ‘apply on your phone’ which is highly useful if your CV is already saved on your phone.C. GlassdoorIf you’re curious about a company’s reputation then Glassdoor is your number one app for job/company reviews th at will help you make an informed decision during your application process.
